What if Mary Jane had never lost the baby, and Spider-Man had a Spider-Girl? A cult favorite, May "Mayday" Parker is painted by Phil Noto in homage to her first appearance on the cover of What If #105 in 1998. Spider-Girl was introduced to the MC2 universe and had an impressive run on her self-titled series, Spider-Girl then Amazing Spider-Girl and Spectacular Spider-Girl up until 2010 for well over 130 issues! The longest run ever published by a female lead at Marvel. Noto makes great use of background space in supplementing the top of a building for Spider-Girl to lean against while breaking the fourth wall. Painted on 11" x 17" art board.
