We all know how sought after JOSE DELBO DC art is these days........Well Check out this superbly detailed SILVER AGE page, which was THE VERY FIRST DC ART penciled and inked by the great Jose Delbo, from the story titled: "The Trip of Fools!" This story features A mysterious slave taken from Africa to the United States where his owners continue to mysteriously disappear. This nice climactic page of the story features the racist white men ordering the black man to fetch them some wood just as MIDNIGHT: THE WITCHING HOUR strikes, and he turns a dial on his wrist and all of the racists disappear, as he then tells his space ship he has collected all of his SPECIMENS! According to Wikipedia His first work for DC Comics appeared in The Spectre #10 (May-June 1969)...... This comic came out 1 month before Spectre #10!
