Check out this nicely rendered FIRST ISSUE SPIDER-MAN cover Prelim which was penciled by the great John Romita, from the story aptly titled: "THE KISS!" This nice prelim was an interesting homage to John's ever classic AMAZING SPIDERMAN #50 cover, proposed by John but not used as it was decided to have SPIDER-MAN featured on the cover, whereas John used GWEN STACY here as the LARGE ghostly figure walking away from a happy Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy, because this interior story just happens to be the VERY LAST DATE that Pete and Gwen had before the unfortunate happenings in Amazing Spider-Man #121! Art is drawn on 8.5" x 13.8" vellum. Just a great cover prelim with BOTH GWEN STACY & MJ.... DRAWN BY THE GREAT JOHN ROMITA!
