Check out the detail on this all Murphy Anderson 1966 Hawkman #17 cover that Murphy Anderson chose to not use after fully penciling the main characters in battle! this scene which look almost identical to their positions on the published cover! The Raven (aka Joey Makk) with a skull in his left hand, lunges and grasps at Hawkman (aka Katar Hol) in this great image for the cover story titled: "Ruse Of The Robbing Raven!" It's believed that this cover got discarded and was redrawn because Anderson needed to raise Hawkman's left leg higher in the air for placement of the word balloon.
