Check out this CLASSIC 1965 AMAZING SPIDER-MAN page, which was penciled and inked by the ICONIC STEVE DITKO, from the ever classic story titled: "The Claws of the Cat!" On this VERY HISTORIC page we first see SPIDER-MAN taking pictures of THE CAT BURGLAR, whom he just captured. Then we see Jolly J. Jonah Jameson in a hilarious 2nd Panel explaining how likable he is. In panel #3 we see Betty Brant trying to make up with Peter Parker, who is trying to sell pictures to JJJ. Panel 4 shows the depths of Steve Ditko's greatness as old skin flint JJJ offers Peter Parker pennies on the dollar for his great pictures of Spidey's battle with THE CAT, and Peter just accepting whatever JJJ will give him as Peter knows he has lost Betty Brant FOREVER! And the bottom 1/3 SPREAD....WOW!!!!!! This is as ICONIC as it gets, with Steve Ditko ASM art as we see the specter of SPIDER-MAN pushing peter Parker and Betty Brant apart from 1 another as their breakup is now complete as we see a simple small drawn: "THE END" below the classic breakup scene which Leads to Gwen Stacy's 1st Appearance the VERY Next issue! BY FAR the SADDEST ENDING EVER IN a STEVE DITKO ASM STORY...................This actual page was shown in a detailed documentary narrated by famed actor and SABRETOOTH X-Men nemesis: LIEV SCHREIBER, when the history of THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN was brought up! THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN was and still is the single greatest soap opera EVER in comics, and it "IS" the only comic art in the HISTORY OF COMIC ART COLLECTING where "CHARACTER PAGES" (with the side characters only) are as sought after and cherished by collectors as much as the Spider-Man battle pages! "Amazing Spider-Man" artwork is the single most sought after title for comic collectors in our entire hobby.... And the most valuable artwork to own in our ENTIRE HOBBY...... Even character pages are sought after from the first 100 ASM issues, because the great soap opera stories with Peter Parker, J. Jonah Jameson, Harry Osborn, Aunt May, Gwen Stacy, MJ, & Betty Brant, are as memorable and cherished by fans as the Spider-Man battle pages! So Don't miss out on this great opportunity to own this ICONIC Silver Age 1965 Steve Ditko "AMAZING" Spider-Man "BREAK UP"page! ALL art on our website (including this one) are able to be purchased with VERY fair time payments, and trades are always considered towards "ANY" art on our website! Just send us an email to and we can try to work something out.
