Check out this HISTORIC 1966 LARGE ART cover, which was penciled by the great Gene Colan, and inked by the great Frank Giacoia, from the CLASSIC story titled: "The Tri-Man Lives!" This STUNNING cover features Gene Colan drawing only his "SECOND" Daredevil cover...And what a cover we have here, with Daredevil and 3 super villains drawn! We see The Gladiator and Masked Marauder watching as Daredevil battle the Tri-Android in it's VERY FIRST APPEARANCE! Cover is quite large, with an actual DRAWN image area measuring 13.3 by 20.25 inches on 15 by 22 inch art board. There are some whiteout touch-ups on Daredevil's muscles on his shoulders and left thigh, but these were all for effect and not corrections. Many large art Marvel covers from this 1960s time period were drawn on trimmed art and then placed onto the LARGER "CURTISS WAY" art boards for production to get pictured to create the comic book, and this cover was no different, as there is 3.5 inch clear magic tape near the top of the circle, and the entire bottom border has a strip of clear magic tape. Overall this is one of the Cleanest SILVER AGE Marvel Large Art Daredevil Covers in existence! Large Art Silver Age MARVEL COVERS are next to IMPOSSIBLE to find in the hobby these days, so don't miss out on a great opportunity here to own a HISTORIC EARLY GENE COLAN SILVER Age 1966 DAREDEVIL COVER! Compare this nice cover art to the published comic book in the red link above! ALL art on our website (including this one) are able to be purchased with VERY fair time payments, and trades are always considered towards "ANY" art on our website! Just send us an email to and we can try to work something out.
