Check out this very detailed piece of history! This cover art was John Romita's full pencils for The Amazing Spider-Man #109 Cover back in 1972! John Romita penciled this entire cover in blue pencils, and then for whatever reason, the perfectionist that he is, John Romita decided to start over and draw the cover on another art board! I got this Blue penciled 1972 Amazing Spider-Man #109 cover art directly from John Romita back in the year 2000. A stat logo and bottom logo area was created back in the year 2000 for this cover also. (Click the red link above to see what this cover initially looked like back in 1972 with John Romita's full pencils!) In 2007 I was lucky enough to commission John Romita to "Finish" what he started back in 1972! John decided it would be enjoyable to FINISH this 1972 blue penciled cover in very detailed full Graphite PENCILS with extra pencil tonal work (versus inks) directly over top of the blue pencils, so it would easily be distinguished from the published ASM #109 cover art. John Romita hit a HOME RUN with how he used his masterful pencil technique to give this cover a unique look that quite honestly has more eye appeal than what an inked cover would have looked like! (Click The 2nd Red Link above to see a picture of the great John Romita HOLDING this wonderful cover art in his studio!) Cover is signed in ink by the great John Romita also! This "AMAZING" cover right here is a MUST for ANY true blue Spider-Fan..... 'NUFF SAID! ALL HIGH end pieces of art, including this one, are able to be purchased with VERY fair time payment plan options, and trades are always considered towards this and any other pieces of art on my site here! Just send me an email and we can try to work something out.
