Check out this Prime era ICONIC published horror work by the legendary "Master of the Macabre!" This stunning vampire illustration was published in Bernie Wrightson's 1974 coloring book, Monsters: Color the Creature & was also published again in 1993 for the Color the Creature FPG CARD set for card #37! This art was for an oversized 11" x 17" book distributed through mail-order long before coloring books for adults became popular. It featured never-before-seen illustrations of classic monsters, in the master of the macabre's legendary horror style. Wrightson's vampire has gnarled hands, pointy ears and long hair. We see him standing above the coffin that likely serves as his daily resting place while the sun is out. This art was initially published in black and white and for extra money Wrightson would hand color illustration andrthis is one of only a few pinups in this book that Bernie Wrightson actually hand colored! Compare this great page to the published comic book page in the red link above. ALL art on our website (including this one) are able to be purchased with VERY fair time payments, and trades are always considered towards "ANY" art on our website! Just send us an email to mikeburkey@aol.com and we can try to work something out.
