Check out this very detailed 1981 Ernie Chan created Bizarre Adventures #27 Cover Illustration. This piece is dated 1981, the same year as the release of Bizarre Adventures #27, it is unclear if this is an homage to the Paul Gulacy cover, or maybe a first attempt that went unused. At any rate, it is a much more dynamic design than the published cover. The published Gulacy Bizarre Adventures #27 cover sold for $60,000 recently at auction! Rendered edge-to-edge in ink and watercolor on 10" x 15" illustration board. Compare this nice painting to the published comic book in the red link above!
