Justice League of America #114 Cover (HISTORIC JLA / JSA CRISIS COVER WITH 20 HEROES DRAWN! WOWZA!) 1974

In the 1970s, Nick Cardy supplied DC with most of their best cover images, handing in exciting artwork in virtually any genre, ESPECIALLY his superhero covers! This here is a truly tremendous piece, featuring the Justice League [Superman [Clark Kent; Kal-El]; Batman; Aquaman; J'onn J'onzz; Wonder Woman [Diana Prince]; Green Lantern [Hal Jordan]; Green Arrow [Oliver Queen]; Flash [Barry Allen]]; Justice Society of America [Green Lantern [Alan Scott]; Hawkman [Carter Hall]; Starman [Ted Knight]; Dr. Mid-Nite [Charles McNider]; Black Canary [Dinah Drake Lance] (as JSA member)] & Metamorpho. Two stories packed into one cover! In the main event, the JLA have been turned into cave people by the villain Anakronus. This 100-page issue also had classic reprints, thus the lower half of this cover is Cardy's reimaging of the historic Justice League of America #29 cover by Mike Sekowsky that announced the classic "Crisis on Earth-Three" storyline. This 1974 Bronze Age classic is a must for all Cardy art fans. Compare this nice cover art to the published comic book in the red link above!
