Since the original 1963 cover does not exist, Jack Kirby, faithfully recreates his classic cover to Tales of Suspense #47 right here! Kirby drew the logo and word balloons. Tony Stark had only been wearing that snazzy golden armor for a few months before the mysterious Melter melted off his metal arm on this cover. Jack Kirby created only 1 of these recreations and only a dozen or so total recreations from his most famous previous covers. This one is no exception, with that full figure view of Iron Man's armor. Pure graphite on bright white oversized Bristol board with an image area of 13" x 20.75". The reverse of the board bears both an official "Jack Kirby Re-Creation" stamp, and another stamp Kirby was using at the time. Signed by Kirby in the lower right image area and in Excellent condition. Compare this nice cover recreation to the published comic book in the red link above! ALL art on our website (including this one) are able to be purchased with VERY fair time payments, and trades are always considered towards "ANY" art on our website! Just send us an email to mikeburkey@aol.com and we can try to work something out. $9,800.00
