Check out this Rare 1974 Double Page spread which was penciled by the great Gene Colan and inked by the great Frank Chiaramonte, as they created the 2 page sequence on a single board in landscape format, something that Marvel had its artists do for 2 pages per issue in 1974 to test how long it took for artists to draw their stories. Daredevil is seen on 7 of 8 panels between the 2 pages swinging through San Francisco into his apartment only to find the masked Mandrill (villain) in his apartment. This issue is part of the origin story for one of Marvel's most off-beat bad-guys, The Mandrill, who reveals himself for the first time in the last panel! Prior to this DPS reveal, Mandrill was only masked, but he turned Black Widow evil and she revealed Matt Murdock's secret identity to him, so this is a dramatic reveal! art is drawn on 16.75" x 11.5" Bristol board. There is a nick out of one top corner outside of the drawn art. Compare this great double page spread to the published comic book spread in the red link above. ALL art on our website (including this one) are able to be purchased with VERY fair time payments, and trades are always considered towards "ANY" art on our website! Just send us an email to mikeburkey@aol.com and we can try to work something out. $5,000.00
