Check out this AMAZING full figured Spider-Man hanging by McFarlane's stylized webbing, an aspect of the character no one had really thought much about until this innovative artist showed just how cool looking it could be. As the 1980s gave way to the 90s, the three biggest things in comic books were Todd McFarlane, Spider-Man and the X-Men. This is an extremely rare opportunity for one savvy collector to own this masterpiece cover art featuring McFarlane's classic depiction of Spidey along with the popular founding X-Men team member, the Beast, as he grabs and yanks down the "MARVEL TALES" logo of this great cover art! This cover to Marvel Tales #239, dated July 1990, was published during the height of McSpidey mania, in the middle of McFarlane's historic association with the character which spanned from 1988 to 1991. To put it in perspective, this cover was published just one month before McFarlane's Spider-Man #1, one of the best-selling comic books in the history of comics! Both heroes are powerfully drawn in the unique style that made McFarlane an Essential Spider-Man artist and one of the most popular comic book artists of all time. A Grail-Quality piece here for sure. The art is drawn all the way to the top of the art board. The Corner box with The BEAST is all hand drawn as the UPC stat was taken off and glue residue can be seen on the all drawn beast! Compare this nice cover art to the published comic book in the red link above! ALL art on our website (including this one) are able to be purchased with VERY fair time payments, and trades are always considered towards "ANY" art on our website! Just send us an email to mikeburkey@aol.com and we can try to work something out.
