George Tuska and Vince Colletta World's Greatest Superheroes Comic Strip Promotional Illustration Original Art (C.T.N.Y.N.S., c. 1978). This HISTORIC image features Supergirl in her blouse and hot-pants (a fan-favorite outfit), and many other members of the Justice League of America. Also included is Black Canary, Aquaman, The flash, Green Lantern, Green Arrow, The Atom, Hawkman, Elongated Man, and Black Lightning. There is another superhero in the far right who is covered by whiteout and a piece of masking tape. Not sure who he is? He has a fin on his head and a "V" neck shirt somewhat like Black Lightnings shirt, but with no collar. Every single character on this superb pinup has appeared in either a CW TV series or was in the recent Justice League movie. What a line-up! The World's Greatest Superheroes was a syndicated newspaper comic strip featuring DC Comics characters, that ran Sunday and daily from April 9, 1978 to February 10, 1985. It underwent two title changes, as the focus changed to feature Superman primarily, and in October 1981, the title changed to The World's Greatest Superheroes Presents Superman, and on January 9, 1983, became The Superman Sunday Special. Created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 13.5 by 9.75 inches. All wording is drawn on this entire piece. This is as nice and presents as well as ANY 1970's JLA cover from that same time period! ALL art on our website (including this one) are able to be purchased with VERY fair time payments, and trades are always considered towards "ANY" art on our website! Just send us an email to and we can try to work something out.
