THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN NEWSPAPER STRIP is 1 of the longest running syndicated SUPER-HERO STRIPS EVER, spanning 42 years and 3 months. Check out this neat Spider-Man Daily Comic Strip from just 2 years into the strip, dated 9-14-1979, which was penciled and inked by the great JOHN ROMITA SR! Starting with the last 2 years of Romita's ASM strip run and going forward, Stan Lee wanted Spider-Man to battle less super villains from the comics and more mainstream storylines and adversaries that non comic book people could relate to in the newspapers, like robbers and terrorists. Because of this, the only 3 super villains to ever appear in an ASM strip after 1978 during Romita's run were The Kingpin, The Prowler, and KRAVEN THE HUNTER! So getting a super villain WITH SPIDER-MAN IN COSTUME on a Romita ASM strip is QUITE RARE! The results are in: Spider-Man is definitely human! A thrilling scientific revelation for everyone -- except Kraven the Hunter, whose over-the-top meltdown has us questioning his humanity. This lively scene is rendered in ink over graphite on 16" x 7.25" art board. ALL art on our website (including this one) are able to be purchased with VERY fair time payments, and trades are always considered towards "ANY" art on our website! Just send us an email to mikeburkey@aol.com and we can try to work something out.
