Check out this beautifully rendered 11" x 17" cover that was penciled and inked by the great John Romita Sr for a charity project intended to raise awareness for batting helmet safety in youth athletes and features the Griffey family: Ken, Ken Jr, and Craig for the story titled: "SAFE AT HOME!" This story is about The Griffey family teaching batting helmet safety! The original book and cover art here was intended to raise money for brain injury charities. Unfortunately the project was never published, but Romita's cover here, featuring a baseball scene and the Griffey's stands as a artifact from a well intentioned enterprise. Signed by Romita. There is a small inked Mary Jane Watson drawing on back of cover which can be seen in extra red link. Also with the cover art includes color copies & pencil art copies of the entire interior story as well as other illustration copies. The back page of the color mock-up has 12-13 signatures that are from Seattle Mariner players which are all included and can be seen in extra red link above.
