THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN NEWSPAPER STRIP is 1 of the longest running syndicated SUPER-HERO STRIP EVER, spanning 42 years and 3 months. Check out this RARE 1978 LARGE Amazing Spider-Man SUNDAY Comic Strip from just the 2nd year of the strip, dated 9-11-1978. This Sunday strip was drawn in pencils and inks by John Romita during his famed run on ASM! This is the culmination of a 3 month long episode titled: "Aunt May and the Street Hoods!" where Spider-Man is shown on the building in the first panel having finally captured THE BAD GUY who goes to jail in cuffs, as we see Peter and Aunt May throughout with Joe "Robbie" Robertson in a hospital checking on his nephew who almost died. We also get a great last panel with Peter and Aunt May walking from the hospital as Aunt May talks about so much violence in the world, as we see a huge Spider-Signal as a great background for the ending of this 3 month long newspaper story. Art is drawn as large as early 1960s Marvel art, on on 23" x 11" art board. ALL art on our website (including this one) are able to be purchased with VERY fair time payments, and trades are always considered towards "ANY" art on our website! Just send us an email to mikeburkey@aol.com and we can try to work something out.
