Check out this very nice SILVER AGE 1969 cover, which was penciled and inked by the great Gil Kane, from the story titled: "Plague of the Galactic Jest-Master!" This nice cover features Superman Committing Flash, Black Canary, Atom, Batman, & Hawkman To Psych Ward in straght jackets! Just a great cover! This cover is As close to the published cover as you could hope to get! It is unknown why this cover was rejected, but Julius Schwartz' editorial records show that he did indeed had Gil Kane draw this cover for publication, before he commissioned an almost identical cover one from Neal Adams who clearly used this cover image for his cover design.
