Original art for the pages 36-37 DPS to the Isaac Asimov article "Mars is a Maybe" (from Ranger Rick Magazine October 1977) by Davis Meltzer. Meltzer creates a whimsical image of Mars and it's inhabitants for great sci-fi Isaac Asimov's 1977 article! Meltzer had a long career as a freelance artist. He created stamps for the U.S. Postal Service, painted dozens of sci-fi book covers, worked for NASA, and worked as a scientific illustrator for 30 years at National Geographic. The art is rendered in acrylic paint on a 20" x 15" rigid art board, with an approximate image size of 17" x 11".
