Jack Kirby penciled and Bill Everett inked this wondeful 1965 Tales to Astonish #79 Page! Two Titans of the art world drew this great story... and we are not talking about the Hulk and Hercules! We are talking about the blockbuster layouts of Jack Kirby and the fine-lined finished art of Bill Everett! Two of the greatest artists of Timely's Golden Age, working together a full 25 years later! Jack Kirby co-created Captain America in 1940, and Bill Everett created Namor the Sub-Mariner in 1939. This stunning page was created at twice-up scale on Bristol board with an image area of 12.75" x 18.75". Figures of Herc (and his manager) were re-drawn by Everett on overlays, as he didn't seem to know Marvel had an established look for Hercules already. The drawn Hercules images in Panels #1 and 2 are held on with a bit of tape and can be flipped up to show the original art below. (See Drawn Hercules Images On board in panels 1 & 2 in extra red links above.) Just a great opportunity here to own a great page from this GREAT title! Compare this great page to the published comic book page in the red link above. ALL art on our website (including this one) are able to be purchased with VERY fair time payments, and trades are always considered towards "ANY" art on our website! Just send us an email to mikeburkey@aol.com and we can try to work something out.
