Check out this very nice SILVER AGE 1969 Captain America SPLASH, which was penciled by the great Gene Colan, and inked by the great joe Sinnott, from the story titled: "The Sting of the Scorpion!" This nice SPLASH features Colan's ingenious vision of Captain America -- Captured as a reflection on the surface of a moving automobile -- lends a kinetic intensity! The perspective is slightly exaggerated for dramatic effect, making the boots and legs appear larger than the torso and head, as if viewed from gutter level. This angle combines with the wavering lines of the background reflection to create a persuasive illusion of motion. The pose dovetails ideally with writer Stan Lee's description of Captain America's shaken state of mind. Colan's instinctive command of visual storytelling makes more of the scene than is described in words. Title & All wording Are all hand drawn! Just a great opportunity here to own a nice 1969 CAP splash by this great art team! Compare this great Splash to the published comic book splash in the red link above. ALL art on our website (including this one) are able to be purchased with VERY fair time payments, and trades are always considered towards "ANY" art on our website!
