Alex Toth, best known for his use of shadow in comics as well as for designing a number of Hanna-Barbera characters throughout the 1960s and 1970s penciled this incredible 1952 Adventures Into Darkness #5, 1 page story, published by Standard Comics in Aug. 1952. Art was inked by Mike Peppe. This 6 panel full story is from "The Phantom Hounds Of Castle Eyne" telling of shadowy Phantom Hounds and the ill-fate befalling those who see them. Top margin has ink stamped "Standard" name as well as grease pencil page number. Penciled title abbreviation at bottom right margin w/scattered ink/pencil editorial notations in margins. Toth notes at bottom exact date he penciled it (2-29-52) and exact date it was inked: 3-14-1952. Just a great opportunity here to own a great page from this GREAT title!
