Check out this very nice 2005 Cap SPLASH page, which was penciled and inked by the great Steve Epting, from the story titled: "Out of Time Part 6!" This nice splash page features an incredibly detailed all drawn scene with Captain America parachuting down to a roof to save Sharon Carter, as Nick Fury tries to tell him that he will be battling BUCKY BARNES: the Winter Soldier, as Cap cuts Fury off before he gets that information, and he will battle THE WINTER SOLDIER just 2 pages later! Stunning splash page, one of the best in the entire issue, which says a lot being the most sought after issue in the classic run. This is an all hand drawn page by Epting, and it's hard to believe at first glance since this would’ve been far easier to use photo stats to create the beautiful Manhattan skyline imagery. You can admire this page for minutes at a time looking at the incredible detail done by Epting. I constantly pick up on more finite details in the cityscape, down to the skyscraper windows to the parachute itself. It’s by far one of the most beautiful detailed pages in this book!
