FRANKENSTEIN Acrylic Cover Painting (HUGE) 1974

Check out the detail on this PUBLISHED COVER Painting, which was created ENTIRELY by the great Manuel Perez Clemente (better known as Sanjulian)! This nice painting features an incredibly detailed image of FRANKENSTEIN'S MONSTER! This stunning art was given from Sanjulian to Warren artist and his friend "Esteban Maroto" in the 1970s who liked it a lot. He had at his home all these years, and then to the collector we got it from, who says that Sanjulian told him the illustration was created in 1974, for the Spanish agency "Selections Illustrated" for the American market for Warren magazines. This was to be used as a poster or cover for Warren, but it`s design wasn't approved in the American market. Painting was finally used for a book cover in the German market and in the Spanish market. (Mr. Sanjulian did not remember which publication it was used for) Painting is signed "SANJULIAN" in the lower right corner. Art is painted in oils on canvas measuring a very large 18 by 23.75 inches which has been mounted onto same size thicker art board. Also....there is a barely noticeable tear going through the piece from the top of Frankenstein's right ear to the bridge of his nose.... it's not visible unless you hold it at just the right angle in reflective light. The "FRANKENSTEIN title which has the appearance of being falling blood was all hand painted as well. If anyone can email me a scan of the PUBLISHED PAINTING here it would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!
