check out This nice Bronze Age 1980 Superman splash, which was illustrated by the lauded team of Curt Swan (pencils) and Frank Chiarmonte (inks), from the story titled: "Treasure Hunt on a Small Planet!" THIS SPLASH SCENE LOOKS VERY SIMILAR TO THE PUBLISHED COVER, as Superman tries to save a damn that has broken as water rages towards Metropolis. Curt Swan was DC's primary Superman artist for decades starting in the 1950s and going through the 1980s. He always did terrific work.
