Check out this "AMAZING" 1969 Spider-Man cover to the classic story titled: "The Coming of the Kangaroo!" which was penciled AND INKED by the great JOHN ROMITA! This incredible cover has all of the elements that made THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN comic book so...AMAZING! SPIDER-MAN was the GREATEST soap Opera EVER in comics! A CHARACTER page from one of Steve Ditko's or John Romita's Spidey books was as important to the story, and sometimes even MORE IMPORTANT than the action pages! NO WHERE ELSE in comic books was this more apparent than in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN! Stan Lee turned comics into REAL LIFE for us comic book fans, in these 1960's and 1970's AMAZING SPIDER-MAN COMICS! This GREAT John Romita cover features Spiderman Battling THE KANGAROO in his VERY FIRST APPEARANCE! The art is in great shape with a barely visible horizontal razor line barely showing horizontally above Spidey's body across cover! I have included an additional image of this cover in the red link above as there were much taller background buildings drawn initially and they were covered up in whiteout but the whiteout has been professionally removed and the image in the red link above shows the cover art with the acetate overlay pulled up to show all of the BEAUTIFUL artwork that was originally drawn on this cover that doesn't show on the published comic book. The main scan you see looks EXACTLY like the published cover, with the acetate overlay covering the hidden taller buildings! Also as a fun little bonus on this cover....get a look at the building on the left side of cover...the sign for the building says: J. ROMITA FASHIONS on it! How cool for John Romita to add his signature onto the cover in that neat way on the buildings! PLEASE click on the extra RED LINK ABOVE to Compare this "AMAZING" cover art to the published comic book also! ALL HIGH end pieces of art, including this one, are able to be purchased with VERY fair time payment plan options, and trades are always considered towards this and any other pieces of art on my site here! Just send me an email and we can try to work something out.
