Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire

Original painting done for the cover of Star Wars Shadows of the Empire #5. This is a large, fully-painted piece that is absolutely incredible! It is painted on a board that measures approximately 14" by 21 1/2", and the artwork extends fully to all edges, so it's definitely a big and impressive image. Done by the amazing artist Hugh Fleming, the piece showcases one of the most awesome and brutal Luke Skywalker battle images you're ever going to find! As most everyone knows, Star Wars is a cultural phenomenon. It is more popular than ever, even several decades after George Lucas first introduced us to a unique galaxy "far far away", featuring instantly legendary characters such as Luke, Darth Vader, Han Solo, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, C-3PO, R2-D2, and so many others. Because it has such a devoted fan base, this has made it increasingly difficult to find super high-quality originals on the level of this piece. So to get a true grail-quality Star Wars painting at this point in time is rare indeed! Please note that the only minor condition issue I see is a little bit of wear in the corners. If you look closely at the picture you may be able to see that there are small "pinholes" in the corners, and a small (half-inch) edgewear tear at the very top left edge.
