It is very rare indeed to find a stand alone Powell portrait of the Goon! This is a highly detailed Goon pin-up that not only captures the solemn power of the hero, but also displays Powell's mastery of his medium! It is difficult to find a Goon pinup that is as highly finished as this published art, so this is an unusual opportunity to won one right here! This image was published as a pin-up or inside back cover to 1 of the GOON books for Darkhorse Comics! Powell is an incredibly adaptable artist. One who is able to shift his style to match the story, whether it calls for a comic strip, realistic interpretation or a balance of the two. In June, 2008 it was announced that a CG animated film of The Goon was to be produced by the award-winning Blur Studio, produced by David Fincher and written by Eric Powell. Paul Giamatti and Clancy Brown will be the voices for the upcoming animated movie. Clancy Brown will voice The Goon and Paul Giamatti will be Franky.
