Offered here is a fantastic large art 1967 page to the VERY 1st meeting and battle between the Incredible Hulk and the Silver Surfer, form the CLASSIC story fittingly titled: "He Who Strikes the Silver Surfer!" which is also the first crossover issue of the Silver Surfer into any other title besides Fantastic Four! Such historic 1st battles and crossovers, such as this 1967 gem, are rarely if ever offered at public auction! This BATTLE page was penciled by Marie Severin and inked by Frank Giacoia. Both the distinctive style and important content of this work in Tales to Astonish #93 is impressive, offering up insights into both unique Marvel character personalities as they embark on one of the most exciting and historic Silver Age battles of all-time! Severin and Giacoia's passionate work on this issue was impressive, enough so that Marvel saw fit to have them penciling and inking the early Incredible Hulk TTA issues form this time period! The long horizontal first panel of this page is impressive, featuring the Surfer probing the Hulk's mind with his power cosmic. The second panel's imagery is one of the Hulk's Origin! SWEET! And in the next panels the compassionate Silver Surfer decides to cure the Hulk of his radiation induced body! Of course, that is not to happen as the Hulk wakes in his classic confused state and his primal "fight" at all costs mentality kicks into high gear as the Hulk again decides to battle with the Surfer -- "BTOK'ing" him with a punch to the face on the last panel of this amazing 1967 page! Don't miss out on this RARE one folks, as the ONLY other way you will get another opportunity to own a "LARGE ART SURFER" page of this caliber that is NOT from this exact issue, would be to pay 35k and UP for a great large Art Jack Kirby FF Surfer page!
