Check out this very nice GOLDEN AGE 1954 SUPERMAN page, which was penciled by the great Wayne Boring, and inked by the great Stan Kaye, from the story titled: "Susie's Enchanted Isle!" Though defaced by a drastic crop-job, this surviving half-page-plus did survive because someone saved it from the trash heap after it was cut in half by the publisher most likely. this nice page still contains three of Boring's fascinating studies of Superman in flight in every panel. Disdaining the conventional horizontal blur of an airborne human figure, Boring sent Superman soaring with ballet-like leaps that Baryshnikov might have envied. The left-hand panel is a particularly fine example. The page comes from a story called "Susie's Enchanted Isle," about Superman's attempts to placate a demanding brat. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 13" square. Good condition, with the radical trimming! GOLDEN AGE "SUPERMAN" action pages are VERY hard to find in the hobby these days, so don't miss out on a great opportunity here to own a nice GOLDEN Age 1954 SUPERMAN action page! Compare this nice page to the published comic book page in the red link above! ALL art on our website (including this one) are able to be purchased with VERY fair time payments, and trades are always considered towards "ANY" art on our website! Just send us an email to mikeburkey@aol.com and we can try to work something out.
