Check out this beautiful Unpublished Green Lantern Page 1 battle splash page! Legendary DC Comics Editor Julie Schwartz started with the company in 1944 as a story plotter, working directly with DC writers. Near the end of the decade he was promoted from a story plotter to Editor. This is one of the few stories that he wrote (by himself) during those early days. The story, "Safety First", was drawn between 1945-1948 and not published in the Golden Age, and it is stamped "Written Off 9-30-49" in the lower margin. The page is signed "ID" in the lower left of the splash. This SPLASH page was eventually published in "The Amazing World of DC Comics #3 in 1974 and this actual story was discussed at length inside the book in interview with Julie Schwartz! Compare this nice splash to the published comic book splash in the red link above! ALL art on our website (including this one) are able to be purchased with VERY fair time payments, and trades are always considered towards "ANY" art on our website! Just send us an email to mikeburkey@aol.com and we can try to work something out.
