Check out this HISTORIC 1975 Kamandi cover, which was penciled by the KING: Jack Kirby, and inked by the great D. Bruce Berry, from the story titled: "Me!" This SWEET BATTLE cover was the first "GIANT" Kamandi issue which also reprinted KAMANDI #1 inside the book, and therefore, Jack Kirby drew the ever classic Kamandi #1 cover scene on the right side of the cover with Kamandi in a life raft as he paddles past a destroyed New York city Skyline, as well as the STATUE OF LIBERTY! The main cover scene features Kamandi and the alien known as "ME" transforming into a "SANDMAN" CREATURE, as they both battle the "GORILLA COMMANDOS!" Just a great cover that was in a private collection since the 1970's UNTIL RIGHT NOW, as the FULL BOOK was purchased directly from JACK KIRBY shortly after he got his artwork back from DC! There is a very slight horizontal crease where no artwork is drawn, just above the Sandman creature's head. Compare this nice cover art to the published comic book in the red link above! ALL art on our website (including this one) are able to be purchased with VERY fair time payments, and trades are always considered towards "ANY" art on our website! Just send us an email to mikeburkey@aol.com and we can try to work something out.
