A picture of The Swamp Thing is shown in newspaper! Just a beautifully drawn 1973 SWAMP THING page, with beautiful use of Zip-A-Tone also, from this great horror artist! page is SIGNED in ink by Bernie Wrightson at bottom also! The legendary Bernie Wrightson co-created the concept of Swamp Thing in 1971 with Len Wein. The initial version appeared in a short story in House of Secrets #92 set in the early 20th century and featuring a man named Alex Olsen. A year later, the more familiar contemporary version, Alec Holland, appeared in his own series. Wrightson would go on to draw the first 10 issues of Swamp Thing, which are considered some of the GREATEST highlights of the Bronze Age. Wrightson's work on Swamp Thing solidified his place as one of the masters of comic book art in the minds of many fans.
