Check out this HISTORIC 1951 page 1 SPLASH page which is believed to be the earliest known Joe Sinnott work in comics, as Joe started in the comic industry in 1950. In this great Joe Sinnott splash, Hoodlum Harry finds a great way to make incriminating evidence disappear. But what happens when Harry falls victim to "The Terrible Trunk"? This great Pre-Code Marvel/Atlas horror splash is crafted twice-up, with an actual art image measuring 12.5 by 18.5 inches. There is white paint highlight (some smudged) on the beautiful HAND DRAWN TITLE LOGO. Sinnott used an amazing "scratch" technique to create the driving rain over the black inks. The toned board has been folded between top and bottom tiers, but thankfully, no drawn art is affected as the fold is in between panels. (Like ALL 1950s-1980s Peanuts Strips) Just a neat piece which is signed by Sinnott at the bottom of the splash image in the art!
