Guardians - Magic Feedback Destroy Trading Card Painting
Mike Ploog, best known for his fine work on Marvel's Bronze Age horror titles, painted this macabre piece in acrylic on board for a 1995 Guardians-Magic Feedback Destroyer Trading Card. Art Painted on 9 by 12 inch thick hard board. Mike Ploog is best known for his Bronze Age work on Marvel's Man-Thing and Frankenstein titles. He was also the initial artist on Ghost Rider and Werewolf by Night. Ploog apprenticed for Will Eisner early in his career and you can see the influence in his work. From the 1980s on, Ploog worked primarily as a designer in the film industry, but returned to comic books every so often.
