It seems that during World-War II, before the era of "smart bombs," the United States Army Air Corps called on the Last Son of Krypton to help them hit their primary targets. This hand drawn and hand colored cover recreation was created entirely by the Original Artist who drew this great Golden age cover to Superman #12...FRED RAY! This recreation of the 1941 Superman #12 cover is an artistic masterpiece, which was drawn sometime in the 1970s-1980's, and it captures this unique scene in all it's World War 2 glory as Superman proudly walks with an Army and Navy soldier, all arm in arm! Originally drawn in pen and ink, Fred Ray then hand colored everything including backgrounds! Just a GREAT effect that surely took many hours to create to perfection! This Golden Age great only rendered one fully executed re-creation of this show-stopping cover ever...and THIS IS IT! Art is signed by FRED RAY in the lower right corner also. Just a great opportunity to obtain a classic GOLDEN AGE WORLD WAR 2 SUPERMAN cover by it's ORIGINAL ARTIST! Informed collectors know that Fred Ray only did a few cover re-creations, and as a result, they are highly sought-after by ardent Superman enthusiasts. The image area of this VERY LARGE cover re-creation, created with ink, tempera, and watercolor measures 16 by 20 inches on a very large 18.75 by 25 inch thick Crescent board, and the logo has been professionally added to perfection on! Don't miss out on this piece of GOLDEN AGE SUPERMAN COVER HISTORY! Compare this nice cover recreation to the published comic book in the red link above!  ALL art on our website (including this one) are able to be purchased with VERY fair time payments, and trades are always considered towards "ANY" art on our website! Just send us an email to mikeburkey@aol.com and we can try to work something out.
