Check out this very nice BRONZE AGE 1977 DC SPLASHpage, which was penciled by the great Michael Netzer [as Mike Nasser], and inked magnificently by Joe Rubinstein, from the story titled: "Chapter 4: The Lurker Rises" This chapter splash from the Bronze Age run of the Challengers of the Unknown features an occult theme and a final panel appearance by none other than Swamp Thing, in a scene that recounts the events of Bernie Wrightson's Swamp Thing #8. The Challengers team dates back to the dawn of the Silver Age, created by Jack Kirby as a science-driven adventure squad. The first appearances of the Challengers by Kirby pre-dated his work on Fantastic Four and many now consider the Challengers a sort of prototype for the FF. This Michael Nasser (or Netzer, he went by both) art is a very strong example of the crew's series in the 1970s with team strong-man Rocky Davis held in bondage by a bizarre cult! BRONZE AGE Challengers pages are getting increasingly hard to find, so don't miss out on a great opportunity here to own a nice Bronze Age 1977 Challengers SPLASH page! ALL art on our website (including this one) are able to be purchased with VERY fair time payments, and trades are always considered towards "ANY" art on our website! Just send us an email to mikeburkey@aol.com and we can try to work something out.
