Check out this very nice page, which was penciled and inked by the great Tim Sale, from the story titled: "Book Four: D is for Dog!" Tim Sale created this memorable page for issue #4 of Hulk: Gray, featuring the rare site of the Hulk hitting his future wife, Betty Ross. In the heat of an extended battle between the early Silver Age versions of Hulk and Iron Man, Bruce Banner's beloved, Betty reaches out to the Hulk to try to get him to stop beating on Tony Stark's alter-ego. In his rampaging mode, he strikes out at her, severely injuring poor Betty. Hulk: Gray was part of the acclaimed "color" series of titles that Sale worked on with writing partner Jeph Loeb that reexamined the early days of the Marvel Universe. For the past couple of decades, Sale, working mostly with Loeb, has turned out some of the most fondly remembered comic book art in the industry. The duo first made a name working on Batman stories including the classic Batman: The Long Halloween. Other "color series" titles the team has worked on have included Spider-Man: Blue, Daredevil: Yellow, and Captain America: White! ALL art on our website (including this one) are able to be purchased with VERY fair time payments, and trades are always considered towards "ANY" art on our website! Just send us an email to mikeburkey@aol.com and we can try to work something out.
