Check out this very nice 1964 LARGE ART SILVER AGE Fantastic Four page, which was penciled by the great Jack Kirby, and inked by the great Chic Stone, from the ever classic story titled: "The Final Victory of Dr. Doom!" This piece contains a highly memorable scene in early Marvel history featuring Doctor Doom from Jack Kirby's early Silver Age Fantastic Four run! It comes from the classic Fantastic Four Annual #2 (1964), which also gave us Doom's origin for the first time. Here, Doom meets Pharaoh Rama-Tut, another early FF foe and the two realize, thanks to the complications of time travel, that they may be the same man! Both men provide some background--first Doom reviews his last encounter with the Fantastic Four, a scene from the end of Fantastic Four #23, and in this large, full-width panel we get to see Kirby's rendition of Marvel's first family including Mr. Fantastic, the Invisible Girl, the Human Torch and the Thing. Rama-Tut then gives his background, explaining that he's from our future but had used a time machine created by Doom to travel to ancient Egypt, where he used technology from the future to rule as Pharaoh. As mentioned above, the two discuss if they could possibly be the same man, which given the complexities of time travel, is entirely possible. Early Jack Kirby Fantastic Four pages featuring Doctor Doom are in high demand yet are frighteningly few and far between. Examples dating from 1964 and earlier are extremely rare, and strong ones like this are fewer still, This piece is a gem, featuring exceptional images and a significant moment in Marvel history. Doom appears in 4 out of 5 panels including that gigantic image of him in the first. Inks are by Chic Stone, considered one of Kirby's better inkers from his run on the feature. Pharaoh Rama-Tut was introduced by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in Fantastic Four #19 (1963). The time-traveling character has also been revealed to have been Kang the Conqueror, Immortus and other figures within Marvel's history. So don't miss out on a great opportunity here to own a SUPERB 1964 Marvel superhero FF Jack Kirby DR DOOM page! ALL art on our website (including this one) are able to be purchased with VERY fair time payments, and trades are always considered towards "ANY" art on our website!
