The supremely talented Wally Wood showcased his talents for action, fantasy, and horror storytelling for EC readers in this frightening and freaky penciled AND INKED story from the fifth issue of "Haunt of Fear". Wood's early art reveals a strong Will Eisner influence, and his use of dramatic staging and "lighting effects" and shadows on characters are integral to the story. As an extra bonus, Wood's peerless portraits of the Crypt-Keeper are extra creepy, and these portraits are all original art on page 1 as well as on the last page, as opposed to the customary stats found in most EC art stories. In this great story, an enraged a freak show owner blinds the carnival's knife thrower with red-hot pokers. The other freaks get revenge by gagging the owner, strapping him to the board and guiding the thrower's tosses with their comments. ALL art on our website (including this one) are able to be purchased with VERY fair time payments, and trades are always considered towards "ANY" art on our website! Just send us an email to mikeburkey@aol.com and we can try to work something out.
