Check out the detail on this complete 5-page LARGE ART Wasp story from 1963's Tales of Astonish #53 drawn by two important early contributors to Marvel: Larry Lieber and Don Heck! The combination of these 2 iconic Silver Age Marvel artists made for a very detailed story! Complete stories from the early days of the Marvel era are rarely offered for sale COMPLETE, so this is a nice opportunity for a collector looking to add a complete "EARLY MARVEL" 1963 story to their collection. The story was reprinted 7 DIFFERENT times from 1965 thru 2015. It is a hybrid of a pre-hero Marvel story and a Marvel Age story as it features the Wasp telling Hank Pym AKA Ant-Man/Giant Man a tale about an alien warrior named Mingo who brings a large statue called "the Colossus" to life. The title splash features a nice close-up image of the Wasp and Hank Pym as does the last page. The giant Colossus coming to life at the end of the story has a true JACK KIRBY feel to it as well. Click the red links above to see pages 2, 3, 4, and 5. SILVER AGE Marvel Super hero pages are VERY hard to find in the hobby these days, so don't miss out on a great opportunity here to own a nice SILVER Age 1960's Marvel COMPLETE STORY! ALL art on our website (including this one) are able to be purchased with VERY fair time payments, and trades are always considered towards "ANY" art on our website! Just send us an email to and we can try to work something out.
