Check out this INCREDIBLY HISTORIC 1943 TIMELY COMICS Large Art Sub-Mariner battle page, which was penciled and inked (attributed) to the great Early 1940's TIMELY artist: Dan Barry, from the story titled: "The Horror of the Yellow Men!" This incredible battle page features the Sub-Mariner in ALL 7 PANELS as he defeats the evil Yellow Men and blows up their island! The Sub-Mariner is then welcomed by a World War 2 destroyer and it's captain in the last panel! This is believed to be 1 of only 2 KNOWN "early 1940's" Golden Age Sub-Mariner Pages...as the other known page is from sub_mariners very first appearance in MARVEL COMICS #1. The Sub-Mariner is not only considered comics' first anti-hero, he was part of comics' first cross-over story (with the original Human Torch), and would be revived (by the Silver Age Human Torch) to play a huge role in Marvel Comics' future. The backside of the Bristol board has a few small, very lightly penciled, rough sketches. The front side is rendered on Bristol board with an image area of 12.5" x 18.5". The board has a notch cut out of the top blank margin area where the title would have been printed. Just A great opportunity here to own a true piece of EARLY TIMELY HISTORY! ALL art on our website (including this one) are able to be purchased with VERY fair time payments, and trades are always considered towards "ANY" art on our website! Just send us an email to email@example.com and we can try to work something out.
