John Severin was very active in the Western genre from the 1950's onwards and this superb 1952 LARGE ART page is inked by one of his most famous collaborators, Bill Elder. This American Eagle art from the Prize Comics Western run dates from 1952 and it from right around the same time that the artistic duo made the jump over to EC and helped launch the famous "New Trend" line of comics and the world's first satire comic, "MAD". Severin and Elder got their starts working together and this is a nice example of their early collaboration. Each would go on to prolific careers spanning multiple genres and publishers and each commands an avid collector following. ALL art on our website (including this one) are able to be purchased with VERY fair time payments, and trades are always considered towards "ANY" art on our website! Just send us an email to email@example.com and we can try to work something out.
