Accomplished in oils and mixed media on 10 x 15 inch artist board. This stunning 1970 painting features 2 very shocked grave robbers encountering 2 zombies walking our from a mausoleum in a cemetery! A favorite motif of Wrightson and horror fans alike. The work is finely executed and signed in white paint, "Wrightson 70" along the right border. This painting was published as a gray toned image for the cover to the DETROIT METRO-CON program in 1971! On the back of the art board at the bottom is written, "cover 100%".
