Check out this incredibly detailed, incredibly Large oversized 1955 horror page! This a E.C. story from Terror Illustrated #2 is titled "Reflection of Death" which was adapted from the original story in TALES FROM THE CRYPT #23! George Evans penciled, inked and actually used CHARCOAL for a very neat eerie effect on this page! He had an understated quality that was tailor-made for EC's crime and horror tales. These yarns often built from a quiet suburban reality to their grisly, cold-blooded "twist endings!" In this page from "Reflection of Death," Evans' points of view, lighting schemes, and detailed backgrounds set the stage for this chilling "Picto-Fiction" yelp-yarn. This fast-paced chiller is one of the finest shockers that Evans ever drew. The image area of this page is approximately 16.5" x 22" on a much larger art board. Just a great 1950s EC Horror page!
