Frank Frazetta was the modern master, known for his fantasy depictions of barbarians, creatures and women, most often in exotic places. His wife, best friend, partner and muse, Ellie was most often the inspiration for the women he drew. After Ellie died, Frazetta's publisher J. David Spurlock visited him alone in his home studio. Spurlock discovered that Frazetta had taken down his world famous illustrations from the walls and replaced them with pictures he had painted of Ellie over the years. The most prominent was "WildRide", which Spurlock used for his article. Listed here is possibly one of the finest detailed watercolor final studies by Frazetta. The same use of light technique and sea foam detail rendered on the oil painting. This artwork was museum archivally framed by Ellie herself, complete with a photo of the master himself holding the finished art. (See Image of Frank Frazetta holding this piece in Red Link Above!) The art measures 4 by 7 inches and the complete piece framed is 11.5 X 14.25 inches. Painting is also signed with Frank Frazetta's FULL lst name signature! de
